It’s summer, it’s hot (not!),
you’re traveling on a plane and your makeup is not
working. What to do? Our celebrity makeup artist,
Richard Grandinetti, is
here to help…
JB:
What’s the best mascara to buy if you’re flying?
RG:
Always opt for a polymer base mascara. If you fall
asleep or your eyes get dry in the cabin, this mascara
will always stay in place. Trish McEvoy’s High
Volume mascara with a polymer base is the way to go.
JB:
What about self-tanners?
RG:
Always use a self-tanner, especially if you’re
on the way to the Caribbean. When you get on the
plane, you will look sun-kissed and fabulous before you
get off!
Kanebo Self Tanner is practical (it is for face &
body), doesn’t streak, suits any skin tone, it has
buildable color and it is a quick dry solution.
JB:
What’s the easiest foundation to travel with when you’re
going on a plane?
RG:
A portable foundation; it’s easy to apply, doesn’t take
up much room and you don’t have to worry about security
confiscating your liquid ‘gold’ (foundation is
expensive)!
Chantecaille
has 2 portable foundations that are great: Their stick
foundation also acts as a concealer and their Real Skin
compact cream foundation has an SPF 15.
JB:
What is the hot lipstick color for summer?
RG:
A golden peach or pink—both of those flatter a summer
tan!
JB:
What’s the most important summer tip for men?
RG:
Sunscreen, sunscreen, sunscreen! Kiehl’s Facial Fule
(yes, this is how it’s spelled!) SPF 15 Sunscreen is
an energizing, moisturizing treatment for men.
